yah ive been here a while, kinda jumping back and forth. your threads dont seem worth replying to 
like everyone said, they do hang low, i've had them since 2003 maybe 02,
never had a problem, and never scraped them, and my car is lowered.
i also have the catted y from slp.
if something happened to mine i would buy them again.

After I bought my 00 WS.6 I made a promise to myself to research every company's reputation and parts before I started modding. SLP's rep is by far one of the best for obviouse reasons. Thats why I'm gonna throw on SLP's entire performance line.
They hang low for a reason too. .... each individual tube is an equal length so that you get a good midrange as opposed to just all highs. Obviously to have all 4 the same equal length your gonna run outa a lil space under there.....hence....the shitty clearance. I found this out after I spoke to Art (slp rep). I'm still gonna buy them tho.
P.S...... Usually when I talk to someone about SLP headers,....they respond with "shitty clearance!!!"....then I ask,......"have you ever seen a pair on an LS1 in person?"... "No!.....but thats what i've heard!" ... People on here most of the time just give you the same response that they've heard from 20 other people before. Granted,....the clearance isn't great,......but its NOT as bad as most people make it out to be. IMO!

i think on gmhtp they put slp longtubes on a gto and supposedly it gained like 50rwhp!! they posted a dyno graph also. i also read something a long while back that the reason they hang low is so it doesnt bang the floorboard, something that other brand headers do. i think its coated and stainless steel! not sure though.

see i knew there were a few that are happy with them. i would like to hear more from those guys. like i said on gmhtp those guys got like 50hp out of those slp headers. so i dunno.. i would like more feedback on them.
My SLPs rattle quite a bit! right under the transmision damn annoying, there,s less than a cm clearance between the murge collector & floor, which i can't seem to fix!
Then again it could be transmission mount.
Ground clearance is ok aslong as you're careful, my setup sounds great & the car definitly hauls ***!

I have had great luck with mine for the last 3 years and they still look good also. Put down great dyno #'s with them. Clearance can be an issue every once in a while. but no big deal to me. Good Luck,
My bro has run them for years and they scrape all the time. I ran into an SLP rep. on here once and he said SLP purposely made them longer than usual to make good low end power. Quality and power is there but they are over priced and a bitch to get in. Bottom line, there are better options.
