Kooks Lt/ California I have some kooks long tubes and im still waiting for my catted Y, and i have a smog guy that told me he can overlook the visual smog inspection, but he would be using a sniffer on the tips for the smog check, my question is this WOULD IT PASS SMOG!!!! i still dont have any heads or cam its pretty much stock with the exeption of the magnaflow cat-back, lid, SSRA. I just got a letter saying that my smog got pushed back 3 months and i dont feel like waiting 3 months to put on my long tubes

You want EGR working to pass smog...that's the only reason it's installed on the earlier F-bods. The later models (like '01 and '02 IIRC) didn't have EGR b/c the cam was a little bit smaller which helped pass smog.
