!EGR! & !AIR!

!EGR! & !AIR! i have a 2000 Z28 going to some pacesetter long tubes (non-emission) what all do i need ??? What can i do to the throttle body to delete the EGR (run a 1 3/8 freeze plug or part from GM) ??? Also is there anything to do with the !AIR! ???
for EGR, u need a 1 3/8 expanding freeze plug(rubber between 2 big washers, got one at pep boys). For AIR, u just remove the air pump, or at least unplug it and remove the associated tubing.. no blockoffs. u will throw SES codes for both things. they can be tuned out in a matter of minutes.

yeah i ahve seen the freeze plug with the rubber middle and tighten nut on top. Dont really like that look. Will just a standard freeze plug work or is there a GM part that deletes this ??? As for the SES light im going to take the car for a dyno tune after the install

I have deleted both, and it was a very worthwhile mod, especially now that the AIR pump doesn't pop when the engine is cold, plus the reduced weight and much cleaner look under the engine! It was kind of a bitch to remove the air pump as it's hard to access the 4 bolts holding it in, and the ine on the back of the block near the firewall is patheticlly tight.
But what I did to pulg the EGR hole in the intake was simply saw off the fitting the EGR line attached to the intake with close down to the plate and crimp it shut and put a bead of JB weld over the seam to seal tight, this is until I can afford a LS6 intake, no prob so far and your already removing what you can plug it with...

Oh I forgot to mention I dremeled it off and used a bench grinder to smooth it down so it's not a problem, it's actually perfect but I still want a LS6 intake someday.
