It seems to be the opposite in my
case. I can feel less power with the cutout closed.

My best track times are with it open. Maybe you are feeling the loss in low end torque?

It's simple really, when the cutout is open it sounds like the engine is working harder to give you the same amount of acceleration as when it's closed. As a result you "think" it lost power when it actually it's not true.

I have dynoed both open and closed. With it open, I dynoed 33rwhp more than closed. Yeah for the flowmaster. But deffinately more power with it open.

You're not losing power with it open.

33rwhp?! holy crap. most other people have said they only gained like 10rwhp with a cutout.

youre losing a little bit of lowend torque with an open cutout, but in the top end, you're really gonna feel it.

Back when I had mine installed, it was a dog off the line, but once I past a few thousand RPMs, it really took off.

My car feels slower with it open, I think it makes you focus more attention on the noise than the accelerations. I ran back to back identical times at HRP open and closed.

I was in the same situation. My LT1 had a cutout on it and with it closed, it "seemed" and "felt" faster, but I tested it at the track and I was consistantly a little quicker/faster.

Why do you think we call it the Chokemaster. Flowmaster 80 series is the most restrictive catback you can get.

Are you going by the butt dyno? That doesnt make sense. It is usually the opposite like was said above.
