I can't imagine a lid FORCING air into the throttle body. What is a piece of plastic doing to compress air?

HEY EVERYBODY!!!, I'm designing a new kind of header that actually sucks exhaust gases out of the combustion chamber, it increases horsepower and eficiency greatly!!!!

I will have pics up shortly!!

Actually, most well designed exhaust systems already scavenge the combustion chamber. If you installed some sort of exhaust that provided more of a suction, all you'd succeed in doing is pulling fresh air charge into your exhaust pipes and killing your efficiency

Keep in mind this is to be used with teh turbo air lid. Forced Induction requires free flowing exhaust holmes.

this thread's going in the wrong direction guys. Yeah he posted way early without any pics but at least he's trying and designed something new. all the airlids out there are the same, if he says it's different wait til you see what he's got. Have you tried to design an airlid or induction system for production? It takes time. I'm pretty excited to see what he's come up with.

I keep thinking there's a better option than airlids though. Everyone with these high horsepower cars threw out the stock setup completely. And it's costly to make your own, especially keeping it looking nice. They need to design something out of the box and see if it'll add more than the stock system does. Maybe place the filter in a different spot? Anyway to plumb around the radiator somehow to bring in cold air from the bumper grill? It's got two big holes in it that do nothing but looks. Granted there's more of a chance to pull up water but no more than with a ramair hood. And there's gotta be a way to keep it to a minimum, have the tubing route up so it's harder to pull the water up. I've got a million ideas running through my head but no resources or time to put them together.

on that note, move it with the pics!!!
