I do not understand everyone commenting about them hanging low. I have Pacesetter Lt's on the LT1 car, and they sit lower.
Both cars have the same suspension setup (Sportlines) and the vert is heavier and should be a bit lower, yet it does not scrape half as much.
Maybe its a difference between the LT1 and LS1 design, but I don't think they hang that low.
As far as power, I think they are within 1-3 rwhp of Hooker, Pacesetter and all the other 1.75 inch/3 inch collector LT's out there. Not worth it to buy SLP's new, but sometimes you can find them for a steal used.
No. That is completely un-true. The only thing is that on a lowered vehicle they start to interfere with ground clearance. Having owned a set, and only sold it because it was flanged and fit perfectly up to my hooker catback and ORY...I just didnt want to separate the 2.
