Default Post up pics of your Intake Manifolds!

Im looking into buying a polished intake manifold for the bling factor. But I was also looking into buying an ls6 and throwing some custom paint on it. Im looking for some new ideas and some good pictures to make me go either way... post up what you got.

Heres a pic of my engine bay as of today...

Also, you might get more responses if you post this in the Appearance Section of Paint Section

Wow, badass looking manifold. Did you paint it yourself? If so what did you do to prep it etc.. what kind of paint did you use.

Yes, I painted them myself, used regular automotive paint and clearcoat. I wrote up a "How To" guide in the stickies in the Paint and Body Work Forum.

Here are some totally over sized pix of mine.
Please forgive the janky PCV hose and the wide band wire going into the EGR, i got this all installed right before winter struck.

Step 1) Take pix
Step 2) Upload pix to Photobucket
Step 3) Insert links in post

photobucket makes it easy with copy/pasteable code for your forum posts.

They DO have to be below a certain file size tho, I think its 1MB

You have to host the pics (photobucket.com if you want to make an account/album), or tinypic.com if you want quick-n-easy.

Then you place the URL inside of IMG tags... like this...

[img*]http://www.asdfjal;sdkfjalsdjkf.com/askdjfafjs.jpg[/img*]

You have to take *'s out, I only put that in so it would actually show up....

Wow lots of nice looking intakes... Im really liking orangeapeel's manifold. But I would do a black and white theme. Or I might just paint it gloss black.. it would be alot cheaper

Was thinking of painting mine, but not sure what colour, or I may leave it, been like it is in the photos for over a year now, and The intake is coming of later this year for the head/cam swap so I could paint it then.

Nope not a dent, its made like that to be compatible with the stock fuel lines, although it dosn't look too nice if you dont have stock fuel lines.

Before I pant it I will fill it in and smooth it off. Just so it looks better on the outside.
