SLP vs ASP underdrive pulley?
SLP vs ASP underdrive pulley? i am sure this has been dicussed a thousand times, but i'm just wondering what brand most of you guys prefer to run, and who's pulley produces the most hp, and who's is more durable? any answers would be great. thanks joe.
My old engine had an ASP. I ordered an new ASP from a large volume parts vendor, and it looked like crap. I returned it for the SLP. The SLP, or the Powerbond, is a nice piece. Check Scoggin for a great deal on the Powerbond.
I run a Powerbond, and it is pretty nice, but then again, I've never personally seen an ASP. Really, I think you'd be good with either...just get whatever floats your boat. Both will underdrive your accessories, which is really what you are after. Both are SFI approved, so they should both go the distance.

from what ive read, if you have an asp pulley and put on a double roller timing chain, the pulley needs to be modified. i dont know what needs to be modified, and would like to know, but other than that, id say they are the same.
