Default Header questions

well finally i got my headers and ory on!! I unpluged all the egr and air and capped it off and soon hopefully make it down for a tune! My question is since i dont have it uned will it run like crap and be very poppy sounding. Just seems to be running rough

it will run like crap at first, until the computer adjusts itself. after that it will run just fine. if you tune it, it will definitely run better though. think of a tune as a fine honing process. if you have any popping sounds or noises check your spark plugs and spark plug wires. now go enjoy your new found power!

i just put new plugs and wires in too along with the bbk intake all in the same adding

if anything you'd just be running rich on your tables... but most people don't even tune after just a header install

well i no i need one becuase i added the 80mm tb 85 mm intake headers, and i got nos soo im tryin to get down to the dyno. How long will it take for the car to adjust? I forgot to add ijust unpluged my rear o2s for now

should i just bolt all my mods on and wait to drive seein its like 15 degrees with 3 feets of snow here, till imake it to the dyno? Or will it not hurt on dry road days to putt around

I did headers and cam at the same time and ran tuneless for the better part of a year. No difference that I could tell, but it was just a numbers game in the end. Not the biggest cam in the world either. 224.

so as far as my egr and air goes i have the block offs all on and unplugged it all so now i can take the pump out near the fog like right?

Sounds like you have another issue like a cracked plug, intake leak or something else. Headers and ORY will not make it run much different than stock so look for something else that is messing up the computer.

it runs ok i thought i could hear poping but its the f-ing y pipe bangin on my floor boards lol, but it runs some what like it could be rich, i put the tb on tonight, how do you adjuct your throttle cable when my pedal is wot the butterfly has like 1/4 or less to go till its wot

haha well i hope it comes around as far as the pcu picking up the new mods and chaging since i unpluged stff till i get a tune

not much changed from installign the macs/ory i was around 12.1 A/F ratio on the dyno and then a couple days ago, my buddy logged it with the LM1 and the leanest it got was 12.4 A/F the midrange is a beast now. Ill wait to get hte car tuned until the cam gets in though

well i was going to go saturday to new era performance but the looks of the weather im not gonan be im upstate ny at the tippy top and its bad some days here! I took it out tonight for 20 miles or soo and its rough, would unplugging the egr air and rear o2s make it worse ?
