Manuals pull better from a roll, you should know that Put in a higher stall converter and you'll pull alot better from a roll. Stock Fbod manuals over here in the east coast trap 106-108 stock.

first time i went to the track(bone stock) i ran 14.1 @100. its M6, and i didnt know how to launch well(still don't). But I'm happy with the trap speed. I had shitty tires, so i cant really compare to guys with drag radials and slicks and stuff.

You should talk to Scott (Driveline Solutions - Sponsor). He'll recommend American Axle gears (OEM) and give you good reason...

As far as gearing, going with shorter gears will help you alot in city driving but on the highway you will lose mpg because you will be turning higher rpms.

There's a discussion about the throttlebodies in the professional products typhoon vs ls6 manifold thread.

just curious where you are located. the track I have access to is at about 5500 feet. I only ran my car once when I first got it and only pulled a 14.3 stock. I was really depressed. But after asking around on here, I realize that I am almost a second slower just because of the altitude up here.

I've been there. You are actually at about the same elevation as me. Our times are close to each other. I wouldn't worry much about it. I own a bike shop and do a lot of business with Exotic cyles there in amarillo. Big dog choppers and stuff.

you dont get the gas mileage you should. try getting your 02's checked out (front) and make sure they are working properly, that should make up for some mileage if they arent. also, make sure you dont have a misfire, that could be bringing your mileage down.

on the gears, i wouldnt even change the ones you have unless you swap to a 12 bolt. 10 bolts arent durable (even though some may argue you can pull a 1.6 60'). you would be wasting money on a doomed rear end. 3.23's arent bad man. even swapping to a 3.73 might net you a tenth since you have a stall converter, so gains would be very minimal anyways.

yeah, i was thinking of gears to but decided if i ever want to make any REAL power ill just have to get a new rear so why waste money on gears.

Really cool man next time ur here you should check out some of the f bodies in amarillo they are pretty sick!!! I know of quite a few ta here running 10's and for sure of one that runs 9's and thats at lubbock dragway so pretty high elevation!!!! And about the rear end even if my car is an a4 it will still break easily???? I know that Texas Speed told me it should hold up even after i put my head and cam package on it but idk!!! They did all the work so far on my car and they said the 10-bolt should hold up in an a4 with heads and cam!! but who knows??
