NGK TR-55's like to be gapped at .050-.055. They usually come at .055 and I left them that way before the cam (check each one though). Now I close them up to .050 with the cam.

The stock gap would work, but you are supossed to close the gap a bit when you start making more power, and who the hell is stock?

always check gap before installing, they do get thrown around during shipping and stocking. I have found some that are not gap'd correctly. my plugs are at .55 . after reading this I'll try .50 since I'm running H/C.

I am using the TR55-IX Plugs and they were gapped at 0.050". I have used this gap for 8 years and have had no issues. I have used NGK Spark Plugs for the same amount of time with no problems.

.038, they come at that gap, but some people like to close them up even more for bigger shots of nitrous. Lots of reading about them in the nitrous forum.

On a side note, you should never alter the gap on an iridium/platinum sparkplug. You can damage the electrode pretty easily.
