The SLP will fit and flow better believe it or not...I sold my Blackwing and purchased the SLP. Blackwing is just an OEM part.

Blackwing lid is made by SLP.

Blackwing lid is pressure/injection molded (better dimensional fit/quality).
Regular SLP lid is vacuum molded.

The necks are pretty much the only difference along with the material. The neck on the Blackwing uses a rubber coupler, whereas the SLP aftermarket lid is all plastic. The Blackwing lid is a much heavier, more nicely made piece, but the SLP, to me, is one of the highest quality lids in the aftermarket (pretty heavy material). I'd highly doubt you'd see a performance difference between the two...

The SLP/blackwing lid was used i think only on the late 02 cars with the 345HP option from SLP. I had both lids, the SLP/blackwing one has baffles on the inside the aftermarket SLP one is all smooth on the inside. You also need the correct boot for the SLP/blackwing you cant use the regular one.

The blackwing lid does not have baffles on the inside. It was an SLP option that came with the 345hp option. The cool thing is, I can say my lid/catback car (catback being the high flow SLP dual/dual) is "stock" because it came that way from the factory . The blackwing lids are just like the CME, they are selling for top dollar and are very hard to find and are considered by some to be the best as far as fit, durability, and overall quality.

Here is what the Blackwing looks like.

The interior is smooth. The rubber boot fits nicely inside the
extra-special Fernco coupler that came with the SLP MAF
and I'm using it on the Delphi still.

The appearance is why I keep it, it would pass for stock
with most people (and the rest know it might've been).
