Before you put the welder back, fab yourself up a 4" walker system, grandpa.

Now you know how I felt on my exhaust build!

I didn't have to make the over axle part, but I had to do most of mine twice. Sounds good, but needs more stealth.

When my rubber isolator mysteriously disappeared on the way to school one day when I was on the highway and my tips went clink clink clinking down the highway (still all in one piece, attached to the car), I used two key rings to hold the hanger to the mount thing on the drivers side rear of the car. That was ghetto. I was sitting there (same day had just cleaned all the **** out of my car) and thinking to myself what the hell am I going to do. I tried using my belt, didnt work. Then I was getting back in the car about to call AAA and I looked at my keys and whabam!

Bent pushrods, freaking keyrings, anything that will hold up the exhaust is allowed!

I used 2 paper clips and the rubber band strap off a pair of lab goggals to hold the shift linkage together on my 5-speed Saturn after school one day. Then it stayed on there (working) for 2 years.

I love the southern engineering approach to work. Still has hardly any clearance between that and the gas tank.

Starting to seem like it was not worth it. I will tell you one thing....The exhaust is more permanent than the paint on the car now. I used half a spool welding it all together and under the car. Has 6 hangers. 2 of them just keep it away from the gas tank.

Is there room for a bigger muffler? Dynomax makes a round 4" muffler thats 9" in diameter.
