Default unported FAST intake vs ported FAST for stroker

I am getting the Trick Flow 225cc heads for my 414ci. I was wondering should I get the 90mm FAST ported to keep up with the TFS, or do nothing to them. If I get the FAST ported should I have the 90mm NW TB polished up to? If any results please post them. Who is good in porting the intakes and TB?

I am willing to bet that a ported FAST for an N/A setup would be great setup. The VJ you would have to cut your cowl a little just to get the elbow on for the TB. I would also just leave it as a 90mm TB and not try to polish it. Results would probably be miniscule.

I think that it will be a landslide win for the ported intake.

Seems you answered your question, but I thought that was a throttle body thing. I would check with Tony @ AFR or Ron @ Vengeance.

Sorry to go off subject, but is your 414 actually a Gen III block? Yes I know this is the gen III section but I just wanted to make sure.

If anyone has had there Fast intake ported I would love to see/hear exactly where the work was done and to what extent.

Im doing a header swap on my car within the next month or so and also interested in porting my fast at the same time since the tune will get touched up afterward. I have been running 1 3/4" headers on my 422 and recently bought some Kooks 1 7/8, I hope to pick up another 10 Hp or so.

I just finished porting my Fast, it took about 4 hours. The problem is that if you don't do it yourself then there is no way for you to port match to the heads. The Fast runners are just slightly over 1" wide, whereas my 5.3 L heads has ports that were almost 1 3/16", so if you aren't putting the manifold on and off repeatedly you'll never get it matched properly. It's a PIA but the end result is worth it.
