Default Throttle body isssue

It seems as if ever since I got my car it has been up and down on performance, here lately it just hasnt felt very strong. I think this may be a slight problem, I think this is why my car is so damn slowand only ran 13s. Any of you guys ever had this problem?

1st Picture, this is me holding the TB wide open with my hand

2nd Picture, this is with the gas pedal held to the floor

Thats ridiculous. There is way too much slack in your throttle cable. You can adjust but I can't remember how. Thats like running all the time at 1/4 throttle. Someone tell him how to fix this please.

Your problem is that you have a 98-99 style throttle body on a 00-02 car. I am assuming your car is a 00-02 from your sig. If thats the case you need the larger throttle cam from the later years, or you need to get a cable for a 98-99.

Yoy also might be able to shorten the cable by pulling more through the pedal.

Just my luck, the TB is suppose to be a Bo White TB, at least thats what teh guy that I bought the car from told me. Ill see if I can get some of the slack out before going buy a new throttle cable. And whats a throttle cam?

I had the same thing on my new BBK, it only opened up to 67% on the floor. On the cable going from the t-body to the cruise controll, about mid way is a square looking junctoin with a clip on it. pull the clip off, and you'll see what looks like threads but are just grooves that the clip locks in to. If you pull the cables apart, it gives you more throttle, push it together and it gives you less. If you have a scanner, have someone hold 'er on the floor while you push, pull the cable till you get 100%, so you can reach the P.E mode. nothing to it. get it set then clip 'er down

Is the car you have that tb on a 00-02?

If it is then that is the wrong tb for that car. 98-99 cars used a smaller throttle cam, 00-02 cars used a larger throttle cam. The tb in the picture is actually a truck tb, which is very similar to a 98-99 tb. You need a tb thats made for a 00-02, not one for a 98-99.

You can tell its a tb off a 6.0l truck becasue it has a orange spring, a longer vacume port at the top left and the coolant tubes are both straight on the bottom. And from the pictures it is done by bo white. Tim

It is a truck TB, and more than likely one of mine.....from a while back. If you have your old TB you can send that one to me and put your original one back on while I swap the shaft and spring out and update it. Just get with me on a PM.

if you follow your cable back towards your ecu there should be a little deal on the cable which a clip comes out of, you can adjust is doing that. I had the same problem with my bbk tb bc it was off a 98 and mines a 00.
