Default LS6 intake + throttle body spacer = more plenum volume/power?

I know throttle body spacers are stupid. But, if you put a smooth bore throttle body spacer, matched to the intake and throttle body bore, would it add power? Seems like it would add slightly more plenum volume and make slightly more power. What do ya'll think?

I have a link to dyno results from the TB spacer.. I can't access it seeing as it's blocked from work. It gained 6 hp inb an 05 6.0 vette...

You be the judge.

Nothing is a waist. If it werent for people trying things then our cars wouldnt be where they are today. Good thought and I had this same question about 6 years ago when I had my 98 z28. I figured it would make more power but I never tried to bolt one on.

I doubt it'll add anything tangible on an otherwise stock car. 6hp is well within standard deviation of any run a LSx type engine does.

If you put it in perspective, between the air filter to the intake, you've "added" another section of tubing thereby increasing the distance it has to travel to reach the intake. Look at it this way for LSx engines, does a longer straw increase flow?

Quick Reply: LS6 intake + throttle body spacer = more plenum volume/power?
