My new dual exhaust.

And here's the new one: It is so tame compared to what I had, and sounds awesome at WOT. The car feels much more responsive and doesn't feel like I lost any top-end at all. Weather permitting, I'll find out tonight at the track what it does for me.

It's a 2 1/2" X kit from Dr. Gas for $180 along with a couple of 45 deg. bends for the MACs, a 90 deg. bend(would have been easier to go with a 45 under the driver floor though), a couple of mandrel dumps and two DynoMax Race Magnums(12") from JEG's @ $32/per and had a friend weld it up for me. The extra connections were a few more $. If your in the D/FW area, email me and I'll hook you up with this guy. He did a top notch job - and just works out of his garage.

I was a little worried about the fuel line, but it's not too close actually, and I've checked it after driving a lot and it doesn't get warm/hot.
I was going to go with a 3" set-up, but Neal at Dr. Gas talked me out of it and into the 2 1/2". Either way, it's more than one 3" dump.
Trevor - weather permitting, I'm going to Kennedale. You?
mgreen - yes, the hangers are bolted into the floor.
I was basically looking to copy BlackSunshineSS' set-up.

did you get everything except the mufflers at Dr. Gas? I really like that setup

Yep. All mandrel bent.

that is a sweetset! i bet it is loud as hell! probably louder than the intermediate pipe at WOT! is it much deeper than the single system?

Thanks
It's not loud at all to me, after having the other system on there. It sounds a lot like my Magnaflow cat-back I had, but a little deeper - and just a little louder.
I’m starting to get a little sick of the regular cat-backs myself. Everyone has one, but this...this is special. I wonder how it would flow if you added a couple RT bullet cats in there to pass the sniffer??
I'm going to have to pass on Kennedale. I am looking to run brackets at the Motorplex this weekend, though. Let me know how you do tonight! Will this be your first time to try out the Hal suspension, too?

I only have had time to do the rears.. What do you think I should set them at with the stock front stuff?
On your question earlier about weight. Any savings is probably lost on the addition of the two mufflers.
Hmmmm. I wonder how that would fit on an M6 with hooker longtubes?..... I might have to be a guinea pig. Just gotta find a local shop to do it. What kind of clearance are you looking at there?

Easy I would think. And you don't need the extra 45 deg bends. I have more clearance now than with the 3" Y-pipe.
What is Dr.Gas phone number? I was curious if all the pipeing came with the X pipe and you answered my question. Guess im going true dual as well

heres there web site for you www.drgas.com

Funny thing - Our cars don't run quite as well n/a when the DA is +1274(with real high humidity) as they do when it's -660...
