Has this been the case with a stock LS-1 with headers and a lid?

Re: Gains with LS-6 Intake?? With a stock long block, you can expect to see maybe a 5rwhp increase. This has been proven many times. With heads and cam I would expect to see what they are advertising. Another fine example of SLPs marketing techniques. Just enough truth to keep them out of trouble <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: Gains with LS-6 Intake?? My car is at Agostino's now for cam, header, and some non horsepower installs along with the LS6 intake. Considering the cam and headers, Nick guessed about 10 more horses with the intake. I think I recall an article in GM High Performance Magazine where it was said that installing the LS6 intake on a stock engine was worth next to nothing,

Re: Gains with LS-6 Intake?? a few have seen 8 - 10 hp on a stock engine. It has to be worth something, since how else do the 01 and 02 LS1's make more power ? They've got a smaller cam, so it's got to be the intake.

Re: Gains with LS-6 Intake?? bolt up a ls1 intake to stock ls1 heads note what it flows, then bolt the LS6 intake to those same heads and see the gain.
its worth more than some people think. its not the be all end all mod but its definately worth the money and only see more gains as you add more mods to the car

Re: Gains with LS-6 Intake?? I've got heads/cam, I picked up right @ 15 rwhp with the LS6 intake and @ the track it was worth 2 mph and .2 seconds!!! Definitely worth it, if you plan on doing heads/cam.

Re: Gains with LS-6 Intake?? I got 9+ rwhp from the swap. My car has all bolt ons (see sig for mods, and dyno #'s), one of my dyno graphs shows a baseline then another pull just after the install. BTW, the install was done while my car was strapped down on the dyno (at Cartek). It worked very well with the mods I had done previously. Hope this helps!!!

Re: Gains with LS-6 Intake?? It helps the 1/4 mile times but I would question how much of a zero to 60 mph increase it makes because this manifold does make less torque below 4700RPM than an LS1 manifold (I have my dyno sheet to prove it!).
