Default size of stock Z28 I-pipe

is the stock Z28 I-pipe the same size as an SS (2.75")?

the 2000 manifolds are the new style, correct?

what do you think used stock manifolds are worth? y-pipe and cats? catback?

i'm getting ready to fab a truel dual system for my 98 SS and i'm trying to scrounge up some used parts, as i'm on a limited budget, and i do not want to cut up my stock exhaust.

I think so.

Yes.

Not worth the trouble IMHO on the 2000 + stock manifolds.

Considered a cutout?

wizkid, not offense, but if i had asked for your opinion on wether the new style manifolds were worth it or not, then great. but no, i asked a simple question of what you thought they are worth. it really bugs me when poeple are so free to give their opinions when they weren't even asked for. a simple question question, merely requires a simple answer and i wouldn't have to be typing this reply. sorry, just letting off alittle steam. i'm agrivated that nobody wants to comment on these simple questions.

Ktm, Wizkid answers 2 out of the 3 questions trying to help you out and you give him ****, and you wonder why people don't reply to your post <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> maybe if you didn't bitch at the people when they do reply they might do it more often.
but hey that's just my opinion <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

The int pipe is 2.75.....Wiz accurately answered your question based on hp vs effort on the 2000 manifolds,etc...if you meant how much $$$ are they worth if you try to sell them you should have been more specific.

I believe your question was specifically - "what do you think the stock manifolds are worth?" That would require an opinionated response from the reader.. That is what you got, opinions are free, everyone has them, and everyone will let you know theirs - deal with it.

You wouldnt had to of typed your reply, or this whole post in general, if you used the search feature.
Have a good day.

all, i appologize for my previous reply to wizkid's answer. i was having some problems at work and was in a very bad mood.

dan98z - i did use the search function and was unsuccessful. it is not always the easiest function to use, specially if you don't search for the exact right terms, which can be hard to determine sometimes.

when i asked for opinions on what the stock exhaust components are worth, i was refering to monitary worth, not performance. i know see the confusion, since my original post was not clear about this.

wizkid - thanks for taking the time to reply to my post. i can see why you answered my question in that fasion.

I answered based on HP vs effort. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Wish I would have caught the responses a little sooner.

I thought you were wanting to upgrade to the 2000 + stuff.

No biggie, just try and be more specific and easy going. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
