Default Differences in Gen III truck intakes?

Okay, I confess I've never looked at one.
Was reading a car mag where they claimed the truck intakes were taller. Are they basically the same as the F & Y bod intakes?
Enlighten me, folks.

truck intakes are completely different.

The new 8.1 intake is a trip.. got up turned TB.. like they ran out of room under the hood

So basically all they share is the same bolt pattern? I need to get to the GM dealer and lift some hoods and look around, I guess. The local Chevy folks actually sell far more trucks than cars anyway.

I would like to know if this is correct too. I saw the same info in CHEVY HIGH PERFORMANCE Mag. It indicates the 5.3, 6.0 truck intakes should be a direct bolt on to an LS1, except they are 3-4" taller.
It seems to me if they are a higher profile then the runners are longer. That sounds to me like a potential for torque gains over the LS1 manifold.

Anyone???

Yes, the 5.3/6.0l intake will physically bolt up to the cylinder heads. However, it will not fit under the cowl of the hood on a f-body.

The 5.3 intake will bolt up to an run on a F-body.. but like said above they do not clear the cowl or the hood. (I know someone who tried)

Since I'm not planning on putting one under the hood of an F body (this time), the tall intake may be worth looking at for torque gains...
