LM1. Pacestters and ORY. Love the LM1 as far as quality, ease of install and looks. Can't deal with the drone anymore though!

I have the lm2 and i enjoy it with stock manifolds and stock y pipe... this spring i will be installing my arh system and im sure it will get louder but i look foward to it. The install was pretty simple, although i do get a rattle when i cut the wheel to the right completely< only negative so far...

I have factory dual/dueal on my car put it back on after having a borla on it. didnt like the sound of that. the stock dual/dual is really quiet no LT, stock cam - I think the loud *** cars suck - I want to hear my stereo! there used to be group of camaros on the power tour with their loud *** exhaust- to me it was really annoying- guess I'm too old
OH and BTW whats is this "cone of silence" taht you are talking about? saw it in several postings .

I've owned 2 SLP catbacks.

SLP Dual/Dual - Purchased direct from SLP. No ring of silience like the ones installed by SLP. This is my all time favorite cat-back. Excellent flow. Very easy to live with day to day. It is a bit louder than the SLP dual/dual's that came installed on a Firehawk. Stealthy. In my dyno testing this catback was within 3rwhp of my cut-out. If you want some noise just get on it hard and it wakes up. Perfect catback for what I like and want. Build quality is excellent, mine has 100,000+ miles on it no issues. The tips aren't as pretty as the Corsa. I wish SLP still offered this cat-back as I plan to another one on another car.

BTW - my car with heads, cam & headers with dual/dual is quieter at idle than my wifes otherwise stock Z28 with a flowmaster.

SLP 2OTL - Excellent cat-back, it's a little loud for my tastes for day to day driving. Flow's very well. Looks ok on Camaro's. I'm replacing with another SLP Dual/Dual.

Default Lmii

I have had an LMII on my car since I got it.

Love the sound. I added 1-7/8 headers and a catted-Y and didn't notice a ton of difference in the sound. Maybe a little louder, but nothing ridiculous.

I added the Powerflo conversion for a while. Sounded deeper and more mellow...but I missed the WOT scream on LMII alone, so I took off the Powerflo stuff for now (as easy as changing out exhaust tips).

Anyway I DD mine at 60 miles round trip to work. Sometimes the drone gets annoying, but I love the sound the rest of the time so it is worth the tradeoff to me.

Started off with the stock Dual/Dual I believe it was called. It was just too quiet. Put the new slp Y with the loudmouth1 and loved the sound. Just finished installing the ARHeaders with their catted Y and the sound got even better. The so called rasp and drone, that was noticeable without headers, is no longer heard. I love the set up I have now, and mine is also a D/D.

I don't want to have to change my catback, but I guess we'll see.

I have the complete LT, ORY, & LM2 system. Very good quality, very good installation. SLP parts really are quality parts, and are designed to install relatively easily.

The cons:
The LTs are long. I have about 2.5 inches of clearance. If I could do it over, I'd get Hookers or something similar. With the ORY, the headers give quite a bit of rasp above 4k. It sounds great at idle & cruising speeds and normal driving, but over 4k, it sounds like a snowmobile can.

Here is my brother's 02 35th Ann. SS with factory SLP Dual-Dual. The first video is before Jet Hot LT's and Pacesetter ORY. The following videos are with the LT's/ORY combo installed. (Finished this past weekend.) Sounds good. Some rasp, but I like it.

i had LM1 on my 00' Z28 and it sounded great with stock manifolds. then i threw on some longtubes and ory and it was very obnoxious to drive. it was rough the first few days driving it cuz it was very loud. but i have magnaflow now, and its not loud as i would like.

but if i were to do it again, i would still go with SLP LM1.

I have the LM2 installed now. Like was said before you can change the resonators and it is easy to do. I have had both and like the LM2 better. LM1 is loud as hell, but if you like it do it. LM1 loud and raspy, LM2 deeper tone and not so raspy. Throaty I guess would be what I would explain it as. Also they have the new powerflo option you can get and that can be added or removed easily too. The powerflo makes it a bit quieter on either resonator. Love my LM. Can't beat it IMO.

I like it but, when I put headers on it is going to get replaced. Sounds great as long as you are stock other wise(no headers&cam).

Great videos, Mumbles. I love the "anger" of my LM1 with LTs and cat'd Y but concerned I will get "unwanted" attention when driving it. I've considered putting my dual/dual back on but concerned it will be far too quiet. I think if I do decide to put it back on, I will put an e-cutout on the I-pipe to satisfy my need

Thanks alot. Tristan's car sounds freakin' awesome! I'd be glad to have the dual-dual, if I wasn't already sporting my LM1. It's loud, but I like it.
