Re: Do 99+ gas tanks weigh less? 99 and up have a return system, so does 98. If you find the filter there is a tee downstream of it that returns to the tank. The pressure regulator is in the tank. I think the wiring is a little different on a 98, but the tank will fit no problem. Harlan has a sumped 98 tank in his firehawk and he has a 2000.
