Default Just installed 30# SVO injectors and all Misfires are gone....what's the deal?

I just installed my 30# SVO injectors and when I fired up my car for the first time I thought that someone had play a cheap trick on me....suddenly my motor felt like it was idling at about 600 RPM (which it wasn't, still 800) and my B1 cam sounded like the lobes went flat because the car was idling so smooth. And on top of this as I was ATAP'g the motor every single one of my multiple misfires (and I do mean multiple to the tune of 60-80!) are completely gone. I don't even have a single one anymore And does the car ever drive smooth...., hell yes....almost too smooth. I attributed the slightly rough drive before to the B1 cam at low speeds but not now! And don't get me wrong, my car drove very smoothly before.

It's hard for me to believe that my stock injectors were slightly out of being perfectly clean since I just cleaned them recently (only 13K miles on the motor!). Are different injectors suppoed to make this much of a difference?

Just as I had suspected, since my injector pulse width is greatly reduced now at WOT (down from avg. ~21ms to ~14ms) my avg. ignition timing is up from the mid 20's to almost consistently 28°

Granted I have not let the computer re-learn anything yet because I was curious to see what would happen if I just took it for a drive since I used my LS1_Edit and properly re-scaled the 30# injector flow rate per Chris B's awesome Excel spread sheet.

Any idea's what's happened here?

Nope! Didn't disconnect anything. I put my AFPR in today and allowed the PCM to relearn the idle. It's interesting because now a bit of the lope seems to be back The weather has been absolutely awful all weekend so when I drive it to work tomorrow I'll re-ATAP and see what's going on.

I am putting in my b1 this week hopefully....did you get those misfires only at idle or all thru the range..I have none now and don't really care if its only at idle but it would be nice to have none as then if you do have problem you can see it.I plan on bigger svos probably 36 to 42 pounders due to my dry nitrous and plans for heads/long tubes and maybe stroker or bigger bore.
I am not sure how much bigger my maf translator can compensate for but planning on ls1 edit very shortly to get rid of all my codes and really tweak the car.So how do you like the b1 cam...did you notice a big difference with it..I know I don't have longtubes yet but at least I have the ls6 intake.

MY99TAWS6, I got most of the misfires at idle but some at road speed also. I ATAP'd again today and ZERO mis-fires

You'll love the B1 Without much tuning at all (and LS6 intake) I picked up 31RWHP through my stock exhaust and the car has a very nice pull now and absolutely incinerates the tires on dry pavement from a 20mph roll and won't stop frying the tires until you hit 3rd gear!

Chris ARE 360,
quote:
Clogged or Dirty stock injectors?

I thought that the injectors might be dirty but I cleaned them with BBK which will clean anything! It also passed emissions with flying colors so they couldn't be that bad, besides, the car ran smooth (not as smooth as now though!).
