Default In Tank Fuel Pump Upgrade & External Regulator Kit

Hey All,

Trying to get some feedback on how a package like this would go over with you all through a company I deal with. Neither myself or they are sponsors here, so I don't want to mention names at this point. It would include the in tank pump, sock, witing upgrade, internal regulator bypass, external regulator to mount at the rear wire harness pass through and the proper hose to allow the regulator to be in-line without cutting or splicing. There would also be no extra external wiring needed. It would be a Walbro pump and Aeromotive regulator.

Pricing would be approx $395 with an introductory price of around $350 or so. Dealer pricing can be had also. You can e-mail me or call if you have any questions. Any thoughts you can bring up here would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

Several other companies are doing this, but also upgrading the wiring. What would be the maximum horsepower that it could support. I would assume around 500 rwhp, since the car wiring and voltage is the limiting factor. Price is not to bad since just the parts would cost about $325 for a walbro 340 and the big aeromotive regulator, plug for the intank regulator and adapter fittings/tube.

Yes, it is boost referenced and I believe it will support 650+RWHP from what I understand. I will double check.

What other companies so far so I can compare? I know folks have done some upgrading, but do not know of someone selling a pre-packaged piece for retail.

Thanks so far <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

ARE just did a group purchase (check back a few weeks ago) on a upgraded fuel system, not sure if it had the regulator. I dont see how this system will support quite that much with stock wiring, but those numbers are probably with a fixed pressure of 58 psi. Since as the pressure is raised 1:1 with boost (in my application) the flow rate will slightly drop off. Plus boost applications you need to run richer, which more strain on the pump.

I checked on the HP this can support and it is 500-550RWHP with stock wiring, which I have seen done, and up to 650+ with stepping up the voltage. Thanks again.

Hello Mike,

I just received the "Plug-N-Play" Racetronix setup thru Agostino. Basically a nice intank pump replacement with all new wiring that uses the stock harness plugs. Pretty clean looking! They also made the harnesses so that future upgrades will also plug into it (boost-a-pump, inline, etc..)

Hey Tony,

Thanks for the info. Seeing as that kit did not have an external adjustable regulator I may be okay here.

Racetronix is working on a LS1 regulator kit that would plug into the factory LS1 non-return style fuel rail. A PTFE return line with OE Delphi fittings would be provided to mate with the factory return system. The regulator will be made from billet aluminum and have a pressure port inlet to allow tracking of manifold pressure at a 1:1 ratio.

Racetronix is working hard to get this system to market soon. Racetronix has many projects under development at this time so it might be a month or two before this kit is ready for market.

These kits will be available though dealers such as ARE.
