I ported my own TB but didn't do the epoxy for that exact reason. Can't say I've heard of even one that has fallen out though.

Lots of vendors do the same thing...
I epoxied mine over three years ago... no probs so far.

I really beleive y'all are worried about a non-issue. But it WOULD suck if it happened,.... i just cant see it happening.

Mark's products look pretty good to me!

Well if delivery and keeping your committments/word to people means anything to you - then you might want to consider NOT using Shaner. He's screwed me around for 3 months after promising to take care of several TB's repeatedly weekend after weekend and there are about another 8-9 people that are upset as well. They all want to know why someone makes a deal, keeps putting off a deal, and then ditches the deal b/c they found something better.

I wish I could give them an answer.....

I got mine within a week. Mine is the S2 and there are no problems. Its not just an epoxy, but it has a bonding agent to steel so its in there good.

Hey OB"BS"SD...one thing to say. Mark is the absolute best with service and quality of work. You are not a happy person are you? People like you do not deserve to own the "SS"....go buy a car that fits your personality..maybe a Yugo.

I can only speak from my own as well as some of my friends experiences. Mark has made commitments and not kept them time and time again. Should I pretend that he's a man of his word when he's not? Should I be happy that he's told me randomly for 2 months he'll do the work "that week"?

Tell me why I don't have the right to state the FACTS as they relate to me? When a vendor or service provider screws a customer/s around, then people have a right to post their gripes. If you dont like it, then fine - that's not my concern. If you want to kiss Shaner's butt, then that's fine with me too. Have you guys ever heard of the first amendment?

If Mark gave a crap about his reputation, he would have made a fair and reasonable effort to keep his committments. I have no issues with waiting 6 months for something - if I know that up front. When vendors screw consumers around - especially in regards to the time frame of the completion of a modified part - then people can - and do - complain publicy.

I have tried to resolve this with him politely and patiently via private e-mail and apparently he could give two ***** less about KEEPING HIS WORD. Bobby, I don't care if Shaner is your best friend or if your lips are locked to his butt. I just want everyone to know what they are getting into if they decide to deal with this particular service provider. Maybe some of you could keep from calling names like little babies and act your age - if you're out of high school that is...

How can someone be "screwed" if money never exchanges hands?

And I've been in plenty of vendor establishments where I read signs that say "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone."

Maybe you fall into this category. :dunno:

Having known Mark for several years, all I can say is someone has to **** him off pretty bad for him to act as you claim. Further, it appears, after reading your continued slanderous posts, you **** in your own bed, big boy!

mitch,

Let's say you are taking the car out of town for a big 1 week trip. You have arrangments the prior weekend with someone to fix your transmission for an agreed sum, as you know you can't take the trip with the car the way it is. They decide not call, e-mail or anything else and stand you up. Now picture this happens several weekends in a row. Did you get screwed around even though money hasn't exchanged hands? Think before you answer please - then tell me you wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same bunch of bs with that person as well?

TA2001 - I have tried repeatedly to politely work this out with Mark - for 3 months! I just got to the point where I had to face reality and I realized Shaner could give two ***** less about keeping his word or even trying to COMMUNICATE regarding the situation to me. So here we are. It isn't the way I wanted to handle it but in fact this outcome was caused by the neglect of said person.

I'm sorry it came to this..

You guys have to understand that Shaner is a 1 man company. The guys is human, he has some health issues that he needs to stay on top of. He treats all the TBs with the same excellent care, it may take a while but it's top notch work.

I know he isn't a sponsor here and I won't bash any of the other brands either.

Shaner TBs are NOT shelf products, so keep this in mind when ordering one. And lets give the guy a break -- between hospitals / 100s of emails and 100s of phone calls he's doing a pretty good job all by himself.

Just my .02. I haven't bought a Shaner, but if I bought a TB that is probably what I would buy. I have always heard good things.
