Default pros and cons to having the stock tb ported......

besides getting more air and little hp what are the pros and cons....im thinking this will be next mod once i get done lowering it.

Lol.. yeah that is a pro of a ported tb.. makes the mod list look longer in the sig.. lol. Overall Its just one more mod not worth a huge amount of power but a couple hp here and there and it adds up.

well i have seen decent gains from them. probably 6 to 8 hp on a stock car. 10 on a bolt on car and 15+ on a HC car. I dont really go by dyno numbers as i believe track numbers are the best indicator. Just doing the tb sway on my ms3 cam only car with the ls1 intake i gained .2 and 1.5mph in the quarter. I havent been to the track with the ls6 intake yet. I went from 11.92 to 11.71 with stock ls1 intake ect. back to back runs same 60ft's ect. On cars with an exhaust and lid gain at least .1 and 1 mph in the quarter, ran back to back as well. As well as an increase in throttle response.

Get it ported. It will definetly show when you get a H/C setup. even if you don't, throttle response improves and you get a slight gain in hp, which adds up in the end.

I think it is worth it for sure. For the money the gains are great and Smokin does a great job on the P & P

In my case, the throttle was much more responsive, but I didn't gain anything at the track. Still, it was well worth it. The improvement in driveability was awesome.
