Hooker Lt header & ORY pipe help...
1) Is one pair of O2 simms all that I need? If so, where do they plug into? The pre cat O2 sensor harness, or the after cat O2 harness.
2) In the bong on the headers, what did you put there? Do you use an O2 sensor to fill the hole on each pipe?
Your help is appreciated...Thanks
Mike
depending on where you are having the holes on the custom Y made for the simms.

sims dont go into the Y pipe, they jsut plug into the harness and lay there, of course zip tying them is a good idea. no holes neccesary

I never knew that.
The rear O2's basically just monitor the catalytic convertors while the fronts are used to adjust your fuel mixture. If the rear O2 and front O2 sensors show the same readings then the PCM assumes that either the cat is missing or defective and it'll set a code. The O2 sim just tricks the PCM into thinking that the catalytic convertors are present and functioning great They don't need to provide any actual readings only something that fluctuates signal properly - the fronts on the other hand are necessary. By using sims you are really approximating an OBD-I setup in a way.

If you dont use a set of rear 2 sensors becouse you have deleted the cats, or there are no bungs in the Y-Pipe, just plug the Simms into the wire connectors that would normally attach to the rear O2 sensors. You certainly dont need extentions for these. Then zip tie the rear O2 sensor wires/O2 Simms out of the way.
