Default What gains from these mods?

2002 WS6 A4, 3.23s, full intake, ASP crank pulley, cutout

What gains could I see with Dynatech stepped headers into a 3" dual exhaust with cats and X-pipe......3.73 gears, and a custom tune on a dyno with wideband? I am hoping for atleast .5 in the 1/4. Is this a reasondable gain? TIA

best gain for the $ hands down on A4 cars.

I have to second that. I really don't have many mods, and with my PT4000 I was able to muster a 12.3 in the quarter. That was with stock exhaust manifolds, haven't ran it yet since the MAC's & ORP were installed. With a good converter you should easily see .4 or .5 improvement with the right tires. I would only reccomend going to 3.73's if you are going with a very loose converter and want to make it feel a little tighter. I think when I swapped to 3.73's it gave me like a .15 improvement.

I realize that a convertor is the best mod, but just humour me, please. Anybody?

hey quickWS6 have u ever ridden or drove w/ someone w/ one? My friend just got one the other day, same mods as me. It seriuosly feels like 50hp faster, at least! Its a HUGE difference. once my warrenty goes out. i am getting one for sure. I have heard that good headers will give u about 20-30 rwhp....

To answer your question... Yes you may see 1/2 increase in the 1/4 mile with headers and a good cat-back. And about 30 horsepower atleast.
Since I assume you have Ram-Air get a K&N if you dont already have one. It really compliments the exhaust you are thinking about.

Seriously, after than do your suspension! Its as good as horsepower! Get a torque Arm, then Trailing arms, then panhard rod, then shocks and 1" lowering springs. The subframe connectors. You wont believe the difference. If I could I would show you my car. I see XtraCajunSS has simular work. Ask him. Its like getting 50+ horsepower on take off!

If I can add another 50+ HP, I'll be sure to start swapping some suspension. I'm running the stock springs, stock panhard rod, stock LCA's, stock sway bars, stock torque arm, etc. I've upgraded the front struts with a set of Hals, replaced the tq. arm mount w/ a poly unit, added LCA relocation brackets, and put an airbag in the RR spring. It seems to work well for me.
