I've been running a very similar setup for a couple of years now. I used some flexible 4" plastic tubing from the grill holes into the Free ram air mod. I need to fab up a manifold to clean up the entry into the bottom of the air box and try to get my washer fluid bottle back in, as well as seal up the original air inlet into the air box. I did this mostly in response to the people who were sucking water into the motor via the FRA mod. I think that there is less chance of sucking up large amounts of water as well as I think I get more air flow off of the nose of the car than from underneath.

You need to remove the entire front bumper support to use my setup. It takes around 20# off the front end, but you are more likely to damage the frame in a crash.
