Default OK. LT question #6,573 for this board...come on in!

I am going to be putting a Cartek S2 H/C in my car eventually (it's on the floor in my room and killing me!). My question is about LT headers. I want to MAXIMIZE my setup as much as possible.
Forget about a Y pipe because I will run true duals.
The true dual setup:
X pipe after headers
2 Electric cutouts
2 High flow cats
2 Mufflers
Over the axle and out

I am debating between:
Hookers
Grotts 1 3/4 and 1 7/8
TTS
SLPs
FLPs

No Dynatechs because I need to pass emmissions.
Assuming that price between these is not a big issue, and I will be dumping the exhaust before the cats, which headers would benefit me the MOST?
If a Y pipe is part of the package (ie FLPs), I just won't use it.

SLP's have the Y as part of the package. You might want to look into putting the dumps before the cats. I have read some have loss power do to the lack of back pressure. I have mine after the cats and still feel a good SOTP differnce.

It looks like your only 2 options are Grotts and Hookers. If you want to MAXIMIZE yoursetup, then i'd go with the big one, 1 7/8 Grotts. However, I haven't seen much testing done, and I don't know if that would affect your emissoins at all.

I'm sure that if I wanted to I could either sell off the Y or order it without. I am leaning towards the Grotts overall though. Are they Jet Hot coated? Where can one buy these??

I think 1 7/8s are overkill on a 346...1 3/4 are damn close to it.

For my setup 1 7/8 might not be justified. I'll wait until there's harder evidence though.

How come I never hear about the Whispers? Do you know how much your power increased or how much your ET dropped?

Went from a 12.07 @ 111 in killer weather conditions to a 11.95 @ 113 is 75 degree weather.. on stock internals. Which, I would consider about average for a aftermarket "long" tube header.

The Whisper's never made production. A pre-production run of them were made that had a few fitment issues, so the owner decided to scrap the project. There are a few of us out there running them..

I think on a big convertered A4's, the bigger tube headers aren't an issue... because my car spends it's life at track running at 6000rpms.
