Whats up all...I recently got MACs with ORY put on with my existing Loudmouth exhaust. Problem is, between 2000-2500 RPMs, there this damn machine gun sound that is ANNOYING! I've ordered a Dynomax Bullet muffler. Does any1 know if this helps kill that? Also, did you just take out the loudmouth resonator and place the bullet there? Thanks for your help! I've had the macs/orp and LM on my car at one point. I couldn't wait to get the LM off my car when I first drove it. That has to be the worst possible sound there is. Oddly enough, some people actually like it on these boards <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> Anyway, I tried the bullets in the Y-pipe thing and it did cut the rasp way down but then I gained knocking on the floorboard. I ended up removing them and installing a 3" in / 3" dual out spintech muffler with 3" mandrel tails. Sounds very nice.

That machine gun noise your talking about is the dreaded LS1 RASP. <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" /> I agree that it does sound very bad with the LM.

The bullet muffler will help get rid of some of the rasp but not all of it. You could put it on your intermediate pipe or in place of the resonator or both!

Want a simple cure to this? SLP dual/dual. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Will be fairly loud with orp's and will have NO rasp at all. Hooker & SLP 2OTL also sound pretty good with orp's.

Just sell your LM and go with something else so you can keep your existing set-up.

Thanks ! I'll try the bullet first, and if all lse fails, I'll try the dual/dual set-up..My buddy has his old one sitting in the garage. I'm sure my neighors will be happy!
