Default Best X-Pipe

The search wouldn't accept the terms "best" and "x" so I had to make a new thread.

I need to know what is the best X-Pipe as far as efficiency and flow goes. I want whatever lets my motor do what it does best without restrictions due to bad design, welding, etc.

I've heard good things about Dr. Gas...

Thanks in advance.

Flowtech haha. I don't think it really makes a huge difference... only steel vs. stainless.

I just know they have done their research and if you look their designs are different than say the average joe who welds two pipes together to make an X.

I do a lot of reading before I purchase something...I mean A LOT.

After researching, Dr. Gas and Magnaflow came out on top. Seems like more people do Dr. Gas, but they are basically the same design. I believe the Dr. Gas was $10 or so cheaper by going off both of their websites.

Which one is a better design?

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=main&id=873
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...e=main&id=1095
http://www.drgas.com/store/product.p...2&cat=0&page=1

And is there really a big difference compared to just welding a couple pipes together?

Maybe the quality of the welds, or the use of stainless steel... but there is no true power gain or loss by having an exhaust guy weld one up, you weld one up, or a big time company like Magnaflow or Dr. Gas making one that is 5x what you'd pay for a Flowtech or one from Meinike...

Well some of them have me thinking...some are basically two pipes welded together, while some have more area in the middle, like this Bassani...

Was this a decision made for more efficiency? Better midrange power?

I vote Dr. Gas. Ive been told by many that Dr. Gas was the **** when it comes to X-pipes. But really all depends on your preferences. Im pretty sure they will all sound the same regardless of the xpipe you use and performance differences will be minimal. My duals had a Dr. Gas xpipe.
