Does a 160 thermstat really help make power?
Does a 160 thermstat really help make power? Will a 160 thermostat affect your gas milage? Has anyone out there done this mod and if so what do you think? Any gains? any losses?

The combination of the two definitely helped my car run cooler, and I saw about a .1 gain at the track with it.
I'm not sure what the exact weather conditions were at the track before or after, but I do remember that neither time was real good for speed.

I have one, and I probably lost 1 to 2 miles per gal. but my engine runs quite a bit cooler, one I reprogramed the fans. if you do not do the fans you will see no real gains ( lower temps) now I did mine so I could do the 10% timing advance with the predator and not have to worry so much about predet here in the lovely 
south.
