Surge after lid install?

Hey guys, just installed a SLP lid on my 2000 Z. After i was finished and started her up it sounded like the engine almost died and the idle was really low then it surged over 1,000 RPMS. I was assuming this was just the car's comuter adjusting for the new amount of air it was bringing in. Sound right?

Just happened on the inital startup. After that it has been fine.

If it was a vaccum leak, it would cause an increase RMPS. Check your MAF. Do these cars have an idle air control?

Yeah i definitely plugged everything back in. LOL. No problems there. I will check and make sure though. I have installed these before so its not new to me. just seemed odd to me that it did that on the initial start up.

Hmm well maybe it was just a lil choke.. Sort of like on a dirt bike when you get a compression kick back on you kick starter ( if you know what that is). I wouldn't worry bout it if its doing good now.
