I use the k&n filter hp2006 with GC 0W30 oil.. It is nice to just put 6 whole quarts of oil in the engine. Never had any rubbing problems. My headers are lower than the filter.

I change up the filters a lot and have used M1, K&N, Wix, AC delco all the long truck ones with no problems... I just never use Fram.

The only thing I've ever used is the Mobil1 107.
