It stinks to high heaven. They ALL do. The people behind you will have teary eyes. Whether it bothers you in the car is another matter, and varies from car to car and person to person.

Don't do it. It's just another kind of fart can, only with bad smell instead of bad noise.

damn if your car is making you get tears in your eyes, theres something seriously off with the tune or your running a 454 carb ls1 or something huge. My car has a slight smell at times, but its not even overwhelming. My wife complains about everything and she hasn't smelled it yet and its been hot out!

Well BWW uses the smell to get the flies away from her crotch

But I really notice it now that my Cam is in, especially at a light.
Boy do I love that smell!!!!!!!!!!!from my car, I wish BWW could say that about his girls

mine's tuned to the max but i think the cam has a lot of impact on the variability between people here. i've grown to like the smell except when i idle in the garage. it's over powering then... but then again you shouldn't be breathing that anyways. i consider it a canary in the coal mine

All you guys with cams with any amount of overlap, thats why it smells. Raw fuel in the exhaust. Cant tune it out completely. You can reduce it by tuning, but you cant make it go away.
With a stock cam, and no cats, you should have very little smell. These cars burn fairly clean without the cats. You will get some smell, but nothing like a cam with some overlap.

Mine does smell but it is not a bad smell in my opinion. I have lt's no cats, and loudmouth catback, now switched to a different muffler. It smells slightly less now with the new actual muffler lol. But have not tuned it yet because it is getting blown next week, and then comes all the tuning. It is definetely running rich bc I never had it tuned throughout my mods. Just was lazy and did not want to have to pay to have it dynoed twice. Now I gotta real reason to get it tuned.

its a combo of usually running a cutout or dumps as well as no cats and big overlap in the cam

IMO, nothing beats the smell of leaded racing gas, unless its raw nitromethane.
