Do you need a tune when it comes to replacing the the throttle body with a bigger one.

I have a stock ported tb currently on my car, but also have an 80mm bbk throttle body laying around the garage. Wich one is proven to give more hp? Should I just leave the stock ported one on?

I got the BBK throtle body and I had my tuner mod it for the camm so the sensor hole was driled to be a lil biger. I also added a SLP MAF and a K&N air filter.
Camm
Specs Int Exh

Duration @ .050 228 232

Lift .612 .600

LSA : 111

I had my tuner instal all that but i didnt wannt to tune it that day bc i thought it would be okayy. So i drove it home and the next day the car wouldnt idle at all. It would start and shut off.

I put back the stock MAF and TB it ran mint.

So I opened a hole for air to pass just like the stock TB and the car still had truble ideling.

I got it tuned on the dyno with the stuff back on, it gained about 5 HP for $870 bucks worth of laber, parts and tune. Deff NOT woth it

The next day still bad idle.

I dont know what it could be. I am guessing the throttle sensor could be bad. Called the tuner and he said i should change the plugs.

I am in the market for a TB. I am leaning for a Baur but if the BBK is an overall better piece than the stock I don't mind shelling out the cash.
I will sell you my BBK 85mm for 250 shiped
