My Review of BBK Throttle Body
#23
I have a stock ported tb currently on my car, but also have an 80mm bbk throttle body laying around the garage. Wich one is proven to give more hp? Should I just leave the stock ported one on?

I got my BBK about a year ago and it was just over $400. I had idle problems at stoplights. It would crap out on me. Come to find out, after looking at my stock TB, there was no hole in the BBK unit for idle air to pass through. So, I had to drill a hole in the thing to get it to idle. Now its fine

I had my tuner instal all that but i didnt wannt to tune it that day bc i thought it would be okayy. So i drove it home and the next day the car wouldnt idle at all. It would start and shut off.
I put back the stock MAF and TB it ran mint.
So I opened a hole for air to pass just like the stock TB and the car still had truble ideling.
I got it tuned on the dyno with the stuff back on, it gained about 5 HP for $870 bucks worth of laber, parts and tune. Deff NOT woth it
The next day still bad idle.
I dont know what it could be. I am guessing the throttle sensor could be bad. Called the tuner and he said i should change the plugs.
