Did the JetHot LT's install pretty easily? I ask because I'm installing some JetHot's this weekend and have never messed with their products before.

my friend and i put jet hot headers and ory on his ws-6 with magnaflow and they fitted great no problems really just be patient and take ur time

I was very happy with the ease of install on my car. I'm a pretty big boy so there was a few times I got my hands stuck in various places, lol...The hardest part for me was removing the last bolt back on the passenger side coil pack bracket. Obviously, after a wasted hour removing it, it was NOT going back in. There's no issue in deleting that one bolt anyway.

All I did was remove spark plugs, which I was changing anyway, and the passenger side coil packs for some extra room to work with. I used "race" type headers so I also removed EGR and AIR stuff. It took me twice as long to remove the stock stuff, as it did to install the headers and Y pipe. I re-used stock "header" bolts and gaskets and there is zero leakage.

I'm headed next Monday for a dynotune and to get the AIR, EGR and rear O2 SES codes turned off. Car runs great and no doubt breathes MUCH, MUCH easier now. I was getting a WOT, high rpm ping before...now that's gone. I did have a cat converter code stored though, so that may have been why it was doing that before...

Anyway...good luck with your install.

I blocked off the passenger side exhaust tips with that same set up and liked it. (used solid Borla plate).

Yeah, I put about 75 miles on my car today. It's very quiet cruising at highway speeds, but definitely plenty loud enough when you want it to be. I actually made a 3/4" holed plate at work the other day. I may try it just for the heck of it.

Damn , I must be gettin old. I replaced stock muffler with Magnaflow & it was too quiet. Replaced it with a Super Turbo it was ok except it rattled. Just today replaced it with the Texas Rumbler & it sounds like a friggin tractor with a hole in the muffler . I'm runnin stock manifolds & cats so I wasn't expecting it to be that loud. So , after spending over $700.00 I'm back to square one. I'm beginning to think you can't make an LS1 sound good without spending a small fortune. It's either too quiet or too damn loud. Why do those mother ****** fords sound sooo good ? Slow as hell , but damn, they ALL sound good!

Damn nice. Reminds me of my old ride , 94 Stang Vert 5-speed & built. Sounded marvelous with headers & a off road H-pipe with 18" glass pacs.
Sometimes I miss that ole Stang !

lol...i ran open headers for months AND had 2 15's at one point in time. It was quite....noisy. i still have ringing in my ears when i wake up lol

Just a question guys...

If another muffler is installed inline, isn't that defeating the purpose of having the free flowing exhaust?

I had an offer to swap for another catback that I actually like the sound of (B&B), but it's been cut and welded in at least 3 different spots so knowing welds are the first thing to rust, I can't justify swapping for a setup that will be rusty the first time it rains. Before I do that, I'd swap in another (quieter) muffler onto my present setup and run an electric cutout on the right tailpipe.

if you want to swap go with the SLP dual dual exhaust, and put a cutout in the y. its a good sounding exhaust and flows very well (from what i have seen). the cutout will allow you to get stupid loud if you want. I have hooker catback with lt + ory, its quiet at cruising speeds, gets a little throaty at 2200+ rpms to about 4000 ish, wot sounds mean as hell. when i go to cruise nights and such i do the open cutout.

When I looked on SLP's site, I see regular stock style "one into two" setups only.

A bullet muffler is not your traditional chambered muffler. Its a straight through design and I would think only cause you to lose 2-3 hp at the most.

They do not sell the DD anymore you gotta find them used and its getting harder. After hearing mine with my QTP's, CATS and 1/2" hoe in my borla is too freakin loud. I want a SLP DD. WIth my maggie and teh exhaust I got its jsut too damn much. You cannot hear the blower spool and I run 7 lbs on the maggie. I rather hear that b**** whine then the Borla. I am gonna sell or trade mine off.
