HELP swapping TB housings

Cool HELP swapping TB housings

Guys I bought a Ported housing and I am swapping them as we speak but I am REALLY stuck on putting the spring into the new one. I dont know how to make the thing get tension and stuff.

Can someone help me out ? If you guys have pictures then better!

Ok guys, I just installed the spring BUT now I noticed this housing doesnt have the hookups for the coolant hoses???

What can I do now ???? Can I take the ones from my old TB into this one ? Or am I stuck with doing a TB bypass ???

Yeah just do the bypass. You,re in Cali so its not like the butterfly in your tb will ice up. Thats the only reason they are there. What kinda TB did you get?

Question

Well I bought the TB from Jantzer, I dont know what year it is but it does not have the hookups for the coolant hoses. It just has a hole there.

Its a bitch and yes. They are pressed in and so you will have to work em out and press em into the other housing. Before you put em in put the tubes in the freezer overnight and leave the TB outside in the sun for a few ours and it will go back together alot easier.

If you really want to I guess there is no reason you shouldn't. Like Bo said there pressed I'd follow his instruction. I used a set of vice-grips to get mine out.

Ok so, I need to get them out however I can, then leave the tubes in the freezer overnight and then put them on the new housing and then leave them in the sun so they can expand right ???

yes. good luck getting your old ones out. Why don't you just buy a hose adapter and do the bypass, it takes 2 minutes.

Right now I have a TB bypass since I did the swap a couple hours before I went to work and I didnt noticed that the new TB housing didnt have the tubes
