We had to torch-cut about that 3/4" tab off the K-member for the header to go in on driver side.

I just did a tubular k-member first and my stepped Kooks slid right in. I think I could have done it without even removing my plugs or filter, but I did anyway.

I will tell you this. They go in very easily if you have a lift. I did mine 2 years ago and it was a PITA. Could not get the car high enough off the ground with a floor jack and jackstands. Nothing a BFH couldn't cure. Then helped a friend this year, Got it on the lift and the ******* just slid right in. I will never do a header install without a lift!!!! Glad to hear you finally got it done. The results are well worth the headache.
