Default Porting Your Throttle Body

O.k. I've ported my own throttle body. Bump stop, porting and polishing. I was gonna fill in that hole and throw some tubes. But someone brought to my attention last night that sometimes the filler will shave off little peices and get sucked up in your engine. What do you think about that? Im interested i how you feel about that. Obviously i wouldn't want to do it if it's gonna mean bad news later. Thanks for the insight.

Yeah i wouldnt do it, somone on here had theirs come off. and luckily found it stuck in the intake runner and not a blown piston.

I dont think its worth it at all, you might gain 1 hp if you do it, and probley none. I think its mainly for looks.

Really... So p&p alone will probably give you the majority of gain in that modification opposed to taking that chance?

whats professional about grinding a ridge out of a throttlebody.....that is the only thing done that benifits you any power....like ive said a thousand times putting epoxy /jb weld/ or any of that **** in the air vintake is crasy.........and worthless for hp.....

op just smooth down the lip in front of the throttle blade,,,its real noticeable......then polish the rest of it....thats all id done and i dont see anything more than that being benificial.....

Theres nothing professional about it except knowing its even, contoured properly(on the other areas besides the "ridge") and attention to detail. If you got that down then its simple.

Just keep sanding lol. I dont use polish on my TBs, I did when I offered the polished blade(and it was just on the blade) but I dont do them anymore really. Just keep going over it until all the cutter "divets" are smoothed out. Thanx
