Unless Terry rigged his by adding a fitting for the heater hose, and an inline t-stat... I think he actually did make his a street version.
We are waiting for dyno numbers.
I bet the pumps will retail over $500 but I hope they are less.

Thats the biggest problem with the LS1.....everything costs 2 or 3 times as much as a SBC (hell....a Meziere SBC pump is $270 from summit...)...its just not right....

So what is unstreetable about the race version? No heat? If that is all, I will get the race version. Who needs heat?

It was simple for me, since all I have is an alternator.

Todd, if my car wasn't apart, I would send you some pics... It's actually really simple, but hard to explain.
I made the alternator adjustable in the factory bracket, and just use a tiny little belt. I tension it with a prybar, then have one bolt to snug down for the adjustment. I made a little "adjustment" slider (out of aluminum flat bar)that bolts on to the back of the alternator.

Check out the internal section. They put the first one on Jsears' car on monday for testing. If testing goes well, they will go into production "very soon" There is a good thread in the other section about this pump.

In the most recent Summit catalog I received they have an EWP for LS1's in their new stuff section. It says it is a street version and its made by meziere. I dont have it in front of mee I think it said it had provisions for belt routing.
