Default Loudmouth!!!

I want to get a Loudmouth for my car, but I want the Loudmouth 1 and all I can find for sell is the Loudmouth 2. They say the Loudmouth 2 is mellower than the LM1. Does anybody know where I can buy the LM1 ( muffler only)? Does anybody really know how much of a difference there is between the LM1 and the LM2?

Thanx for the info, some people say that the LM1 is almost annoying. Any opinions?

humm, i got a LM1 and its a tough decision. Like at WOT hands down, loud mouth. But at like, 2500 rpm it sounds kindof obnoxious. It sounds like,too.. idk the word, it resonates too much its not a deep muscle sound. My problem with my LM1 is i cant race at the track with it, so im going to have to swap my resonator off for another one

Why can't you race at the track with it?

some tracks require full muffler system for street cars or on street legal drag nights. I ran at my track with a bullet, must be strict where he races at i'm thinking. can't think of another reason.

well I'm thinking that some tracks go by DB sound for street legal nights and maybe a LM is just too loud? I honestly wouldn't know why else he couldn't run at the track with a plain lm1 muffler. We'll let him answer when he can.

I don't think most smog tech give a **** what you run after the cat, but technically your supposed to have a fiddy state legal catback. Since it doesn't affect the smog output of the car it shouldn't make a difference really but technically your right. That's something most people don't have to worry about though.

+1 for the BorlaMouth, mine sounded insane, i loved it, but i went with magnaflow with an electric cutout. Quiet and obnoxious at the flip of a switch. One thing the borla is crazy tight, close to body and close to driveshaft. Sometimes i think about putting this back on the car. Borlamouth just hands down sounds better than lm1 or lm2 if you dont have cats.

im bout to be sellin a lm1 resonator, throwing a borlamouth bc i went with ory and lt's. it sounded sweet with my random tech cats/ypipe combo with stock manifolds. I lined my trunk with some lightweight dynamat, which may have helped the interior noise. I liked it, everyone said it sounded sweet, but i hear its too much with lts and ory

I ran the Loudmouth I catback on an otherwise stock car for 18 months. I was in high school for most of those months. At the time, I loved it.

When I got headers I ditched it. Went with duals. Could not have been happier.

IMO a Y-pipe equipped car with a straight through muffler and no cats will usually sound poor. Too much rasp. For me, you either need duals, a decent muffler (can still be quite loud) and/or high flow cats in order to sound good. It's about a lot more than simply volume. And rasp sucks.
