Fuel Rail Cover will not work
i bought a set of Corvette fuel rail covers from summit racing they told me they would fit and they dont want to fit on there it says minor fabrication but i have no idea what to trim off and how to put them on. anyone have any pics they could show me how to do this.
thanks billy

ill look for some pics, but you need to cut a pretty big chunk of the back of the passenger side. you also have to notch a little for the throttle cable bracket and the oil dipstick on that side.
the driver side just needs another fuel line cutout. should look identical to the other notch thats already in it. general rule of thumb is to cut it at the other side of the "5.7" logo (where the raised ribs stop)
best idea is just lay them down and get a sharpie to trace whereever there is contact. il try to get some pics later of mine...

heres a pic of mine. i took this pic for this exact reason.

and i had to do some fine tuning once it was in. i didnt notch out around the throttle cable, i just made a slit which isnt shown in that pic.

fast01 did a better job than i could have done, thats exactly what you need to do.
you cant see it in that picture but you need to cut the front corner of the passenger side just a little to get the throttle cable to thread through

if you dont have AIR, then you dont need to do anything to the drivers side...i learned that after i traced the template off a car that has AIR
pics:

my drivers side is for sale if you have AIR and want to trade me...the red CORVETTE was completely scuffed and is filled in with dyn-a-lite...it just needs 1 tiny spot filled yet that you can only see/feel in person; but its otherwise ready for paint
let me know if you wanna trade

ya if u dont have all the emissions junk u dont have to trim hardly anything on them. its all the people who still have that who cut the crap out of them.

u can see in the back i just trimmed it a tad to clear the ac box.

i'm kidding.
i actually didn't know ya needed to mod them to get 'em to fit on the f-body.
