3" y pipe bump stop hanger
3" y pipe bump stop hanger i have a pacesetter ory on a 02 ws6 the y pipe is hitting under the driverside seat. will this bump stop fix my problem and what does it mount to on the car cause it looked like it had a bracket made into it for a bolt to go through
any help or insightwould be greatly appr. cause this is annoying and sounds like crap under hard acceleration.

ive got the same set up pacesetter longtubes and the crappy *** y pipe bought the mufflex hanger like a month ago and put it on today and it didnt solve all the problems but it helped alot. you could drive up to charlottsville and see mine.

Shove a piece of hose between the Y pipe and body wherever you think it may be hitting... If the noise stops the Y pipe is hitting. Hose shoved in there like that is a temp fix but its a cheap way to see if the Y pipe is banging or not without spending a bunch of cash on something you may not need.
Mine was hitting too, it stoped after I bought the Pace ypipe in conjunction with the hanger and it very rarely bangs, and if it does it is very little.
When I put my Pace ypipe on I carefully put a pry bar between the pipe and the body right before I band clamped it so I can get the maximum clearance. Then I put the mufflex hanger. Did I explain my self ok?

Is it a bang or a rattle? If its the rattle like mine, then more than likely its the tunnel brace at least I think that's what it's called. Mines rattling because it sits like a 1/4" below where the Y and the catback meet. I'm going to bend it up so it pushes up on the exhaust hard. That worked the east time before I had headers.

got one... but where it is supose to mount is crap... right in the middle of my cat... i just mounted it to my tranny crossmember... still bangs at times sense it's so far back but better than it started out... kooks catted y-pipe btw
