Being loud and sounding like **** is easy and cheap. Being loud while still sounding good is expensive. To answer your question, just chop off your muffler and remove the cats. Will be really loud but sound ohhhh so shitty...

Not when you hear it next to some thing that took a little more money for example True Duals. If you like that sound then just do the cut out then. If you ever plan on doing headers or true duals then dont waste your money unless your gonna stick with a Y pipe set up.

loudmouth is probably your best option to add if you want louder.... I am running the lm1 w/cats and I dig it. Don't mess with your cats, etc. and the lm1 is only $60+ w/o the complete system

Cheapest way to would a manual cut out.
If you want a way to be able to open and close the cutout from inside the car, look at the QTP electric cutouts we sell. They let you partially open, fully open or completly close the cutout from inside the car. You can adjust the noise level with the flick of a swtich

Forget all the bull everybody is giving you.
Just go here:
http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...vid=3&pcid=101
And buy there Flowtech 3" cutout and the QTP electronic cutout. You can get both for around $200 then have an exhaust shop weld the flowtech cutout into you I pipe and then mount the QTP electronic cutout on it and your good to go. Just open it when you want it loud and close it when you don't. I can't believe how many people give someone a bunch of bull when they just ask a simple question.

Personally I like the drilling into the manifold suggestion..
Or a Milwaukee reciprocating saw with a Lennox blade to the y pipe. You could just cut out a section of pipe like 6 inches long so exhaust will still flow out of the tail pipes to appear as if you didn't just do a shitty hack job.
