i believe this is an exhaust leak, but i figure ill ask anyways. th T56 has about 35k miles on it the car has LT and i just put in some Cats in the Y pipe. but i used band clamps which can leak. it has a loud ticking sound comming form the shifter when i got WOT. i can hear a slight exhaust leak at idle when im next to something that the sould will echo off of. does this sound like an exhaust leak? the ticking is quite audiable.(sp?)

i think it could be, i know leaks around the manifolds/headers sound like a ticking... if you can get your car in the air look around where you think the leak is, if its ne thing like my my exhaust was you will see black streaks where the exhaust is leaking out.

 

wrap it then clamp it!!

 

well i fixed all my exhaust leaks and that was not it. its like a ticking sound comming straight from the sifter... any ideas?

 

With what? How is everyone tightening their band clamps?
