Hooker Comp Jet Hot's rusting.. THinkin' about a switch?
Hey guys-
My hookers are starting to rust, I am going to e-mail Jet Hot about their "lifetime warranty" against rust and see what happens..
Anyway, I am halfway thinking about just replacing them with some stainless steel headers, so I don't have to pull them off in another 5 years and recoat them again..
ANyone have any suggestions?
Jeff

You can't beet Kooks Stainless. They fit great and they stand behind there stuff! I have owned 4 sets of kooks and all 4 sets came off the car as nice as when they went on. They also are some of the easyest to install.
I just recently put a set of there 2" race headers on the car and they are awsome!

I had to pull my JetHots off less than a year after my install cuz they were rusting and chipping near the collector. They re-coated them for me for free (less shipping) but supposedly they only do that once. They are already rusting/chipping again. My next set will be Kooks or QTP.

I love my QTP's. They make more power than most longtubes - they may in fact make the most power of them all - and they're stainless and $200 less than Kooks and ARH with no compromises.
If you need any pics or info, lemme know, I'm happy to provide.

Well, I pulled the headers off the car..
Not sure how it happened, what caused it, etc but I have a dime size hole in the header.. The hole was covered by the clamps and doesn't look like it was leaking exhaust, but now that I have found it, I am thinking about either getting these repaired or getting some new headers..
I am liking the looks of the XS Stainless, seems like lots of happy campers with them..
