Default TRUE DUALS Install and Edelbrock Victor Headers

I am about to get my 2.5in true duals system with dynomax bullets installed on my car soon. I am getting the headers put on the car at the same time. Will i need to get my car tuned before i can drive it since i will be removing both my back 02 sensors?

No you won't have to have it tuned in order to drive it.. You will however have an ses light.

Running the Victor headers with with the 3.5" collectors doesnt really make sense if you are only running 2.5" pipes.

good question rarebreed0295.... I am about to install headers and wondering the same deal with the 02 sensors. I believe you can get the rear codes deleted for not much but make sure the shop you deal with can add the money you paid to a tune down the road.

Rear O2's do NOT affect how your motor runs. They only monitor and report on how well (or not) your cats are working. Removing cats and not installing O2 Sims (which falsely tell the PCM that everything is OK) will trigger a SES light and trip the code that reads something like "reduced catalytic converter efficiency" blah blah.

2 - 2.5" pipes flow about the same as 1 - 3" Y-Pipe..and clearance is better.[than 2 -3"]

my comment had nothing to do with clearance, it just makes better sense to go with a smaller header with a 3" collector if you are only running 2.5" pipes

The guy i am buying the duals from had them custom made to fit on the edelbrock headers. He said he had them welded straight to the collector so that is why i am going with the edelbrocks.
