Good luck with the test. Hopefully they are a nice revision to the current offering.

The new SLP F-Body long tubes will be offered along with the current tuned length. We will be offering both.

For guys wanting the low to mid range torque our current tuned length is the way to go.

For guys wanting the mid to upper range HP the new design will be the way to go.

More options for your specific usage and setup. One header does not fit all applications. With more larger cubes entering the market and more transplants taking place SLP will have options for you.

Thanks
Hank

For the record, HP loss in the drivetrain is a %, meaning that HP gains, no matter where they start or end, will always show lower on an auto than a manual. Accusing them of that just sounded dirty to me.

Do these hang low & scrap over ever bump like the other SLP LT's??? Thats the main reason I went with Pacesetter was they offer better ground clearance.

Yes they do offer much better ground clearance. And have been successfully tested on lowered vehicles with no issue. But will not offer the same increase in low-mid range torque as the tuned length design. But better mid to upper HP gains.

Please see photo attached from underside of car with new SLP long tubes and new Y-Pipe.

Thanks
Hank

I know this test was for emissions. But, will there be a track version w/o AIR/EGR and with an ORYP of these new headers with better clearance?

Sure, just purchase some block off plates and off road pipes to replace the CATS.

We will not be offereing it in the combo above, but I am sure you could purchase block off plates and straight 3" off road pipes to replace the CATS from another vendor without much trouble.

Thanks
Hank

Here are some pics. Yes we have tested vs our current Tuned Length. Remember this is not a replacement but an addition to the current Tuned Length Design. There is a major difference between a tuned length header and a long tube header. A tuned length header is just what the name says. Designed with tube lengths that work for a specified rpm range. Our tuned length headers offer a serious boost in low to mid range power.

A long tube header by design offers longer primaries which generally pick up power in the mid to upper RPM range. Like the new long tubes in the photos attached.

Please be patient there will be a complete release on our new products coming soon section of the SLP website with pricing, availability, dyno charts and many photos in the next 2 weeks.

Thanks
Hank
